What are things you should have on an island?

Primary necessities; water, food, clothing.

Something to start a fire to hoard off creatures, keep you warm and provide light in the darkness.

A knife would be very convenient.

A companion would be considered a necessity but is often overlooked. Without a companion you will have a higher chance of dying because you need that psychological support and they can share responsibilities.
