Info about Monarch silver king super twin motor bike.?

I remember in 1953, the rich kid in the neighborhood had a motor bike and it was a Monarch with a two cylinder two stroke apposed engine sitting in the frame in the north and south position, It drove the rear wheel with a belt and probably used a centrifugal clutch. I think it was purple or blue. Did I imagine this.
