None. Apologize, then be there on time next time.

Never give an excuse unless you're asked for one. Then, the best excuse is the most honest one.

If you were to give an excuse for being late at school say locker jam, bully, washroom, I was in class but left to check/get something, etc. . . or just tell the truth!
