Why did leopardstar turn mean?

Leopardstar was never mean. She was just a coward and couldn't or wouldn't stand up for her clan when Tigerstar combined Shadowclan and Riverclan. I think she learned her lesson. She became a little wise but is still sharp-tounged! :D
