Where did Anthony Van Leeuwenhoek live?

Antonie (Anton) van Leeuwenhoek (October 24, 1632 -- August 26, 1723) was a Dutch businessman who devoted much of his life to developing the microscope and investigating microorganisms.

He was born in Delft, a city in the province of South Holland in the Netherlands. He also died in Delft. Except for the six years he spent in Amsterdam as an apprentice, he spent his entire life in Delft.
