Can you make a Winchester 1400 hold more than 3 shots?

The limitation is because of a plug put into the magazine tube - typically, some sort of dowel rod. When hunting, you must have this. When not hunting, all you have to do is unscrew the end cap off the magazine tube and remove the plug.
