How much is a wheat penny worth?

Common date circulated wheat cents are worth 2 to 3 cents apiece. However there are some rarer wheat cents that can be worth several hundred dollars. You're not likely to find them in change, but if you've inherited someone's collection it's worth it to go through the coins to see what you have.
