Carer adjustment payment just wondering if anyone has actually received anything from fascia or did they tell you sorry but your've had time to adjust to your child's disability sorry to say you don't?

I applied and got knocked back and now I'm in the appeals process but I don't like my chances. I have 2 children with disabilities, both under six and my family and I are still very much adjusting to their diagnosis. I don't know anybody so far that has received the payment other than the lady who spoke on the radio who had the blind son. John Howard heard her story and she was given the money. It's interesting because my 3 year old daughter is blind also but doesn't qualify. I simply don't understand it. It has been a time consuming and draining ordeal which I'm sure others have experienced. Living with disabilities is difficult enough and I don't think the government needed to waste our valuable time filling out their paper work for a big fat 'NO'.
