How do you get mildew smell out of suede?

Probably the best way is to have it dry cleaned, or, if that's not an option, have it brushed thoroughly, then let it lay exposed to the sun for a few hours. The sunlight should kill the mildew. I would just like to add something for you to try: This worked for a pair of leather pants, it also works on old books. Wrap the item in a plastic freezer bag, or just wrap it tightly and freeze it. I left stuff in for a couple weeks, smell is gone!
