Luckily for President Ford, Oliver Sipple, a Vietnam veteran who was standing next to Moore in the crowd, noticed the raised gun and moved Moore's arm just in time to save the President. After serving 32 years of her life sentence, Moore, now age 77, was paroled on Monday, December 31, 2007 from the federal prison at Dublin (located outside of Oakland, California).
