What is the difference between Mercedes Benz W-251 and V-251?

Not really sure......they are both R-classes, I think maybe the W one is 4-MATIC and the V one is rear wheel drive?

I know they where talking about offering a 2 wheel drive version of the R-class so maybe that's it?
