Did Vespucci discover Brazil

Amerigo Vespucci did not discover Brazil, but he was one of the early explorers to recognize it as a new continent separate from Asia. He participated in expeditions to the region in the late 15th and early 16th centuries and provided detailed accounts of the lands he encountered. His observations contributed to the understanding of the geography of the New World, ultimately leading to the continent being named after him. However, Brazil was initially claimed by Portugal, which was already exploring the region around that time.
