To this day, historians are still puzzle about the Etruscan Civilization. One source of information about them are ancient Roman writers, as early Rome was once ruled by the Etruscans. One debate revolves around where there originated. No single historian has created a consensus on that, although many have speculated on it.
The Etruscans were certainly a remarkable civilization. They mined copper, iron ore, and had a healthy international trade that helped make them prosperous. Their tombs reveal ivory, glass making and gold. They were versed in producing bronze, and beautiful jewelery.
Gems and mirrors were found in their tombs as well as chariots and weapons of war. They used terra cotta for their building purposes.
Because of their commercial trade industries, valuable gems, and metals were available via trading with other ancient peoples. They painted frescoes and created beautiful pottery.
