How do you get the watermelons out of the refrigerator on sims 3?

To get Apples and watermelons out of the fridge, you'll have to already have bought some from the grocery store and put them in the fridge.

To buy items, go to the grocery store in your town (you can find it by going onto the map, press M or the Map button. The icon is a shopping trolley) and choose to buy Apples/watermelons and how many. If you have enough money, you have bought the items. If you don't, you'll either have to remove some items or close the window without buying anything. The items are now in the inventory of the Sim who just purchased them.

To give items to another Sim, drag them out of the inventory either onto the image in the profile panel of your screen, or onto the Sim. These will only work if the Sim you're giving the items to is in your family. Otherwise there will be a cross by the item whilst you're dragging it and if you let go it will be returned to your inventory. Be careful as items like groceries can be placed on the floor and easily lost. Sims can eat edible items directly out of their inventories by clicking on them and choosing 'eat'.

To put items in the fridge, drag them from the inventory to the fridge or, on the fridge click 'open'. A rectangle will appear, and you can drag the items onto it so you can be certain they're going into the fridge. This is useful if you have more than one item as it's quicker than dragging each type of item individually. You can transfer a pile of items by clicking the blue triange in the upper-left corner of the pile and dragging it to the desired destination.

To get items out of the fridge, take your Sim and choose 'open'. This will allow you to see all the items in the fridge. If you have lots in the fridge, you may have to scroll through the list to find the item. Just drag the item into the Sim's inventory, or choose 'eat' from in the fridge.

To make food from the things in the fridge, click the fridge and choose 'have [meal]...' or 'serve [meal]...' and then the food you wish to make. This will use up items in the fridge. If you don't have those items, you can still make it but you will be charged as though you bought the items.
