How long can the brimstone butterfly live?

i am pretty sure it lives up to 2 years in the wild and if held captive then 2 days!!!!!! :(

This butterfly lives for one year. The new butterflies emerge from their chrysalis's in July and live until the following July, hibernating over winter in the woodlands to emerge in the early spring.
