Is diljit dosanjh is a jatt?

Guys i know him before he was a singer, he's definitely not jatt and moreover dosanjh is not his family last name. Anyone can check his first few albums his name was always diljit singh because he didn't want to add his actual last name because he thought people would judge but after 10 years in singing he decided to add dosanjh to make a look like he's jatt. he's from dosanjh pind but lived in ludhiana all his life.
