If the whole world is under the control of the evil oneDoes that mean it's not our choices that save us it's your faith in God?

We have choices and one of those choices is to believe that Christ Jesus can and will save and forgive us. When you have faith in God true faith, not the kind that says "Now that I am forgiven I can go and do whatever I want to." Then and only then, when you have him in your heart and are willing to go with him every step of the way you are saved.
