Some of the advantages of tourism in the Himalayas is the way that it provides jobs for the inhabitants of the Himalayas. This is an advantage because Himalayans are amongst the poorest people in the world. Also it provides more financial income for the government, therefore upgrading their housing and living qualities meaning a healthier and happier lifestyle.
