What does Jesus tell us God is like?

In John 14:8, Philip asked jesus to show them (the other disciples) the Father. Jesus answered, "Have I been so long time with you and yet hast thounot known me, Philip? he that has seen me has seen the father". Jesus and the father are alike in every way.
