Temperature flame alcohol

The surface temperature of burning alcohol is around the 500 Fahrenheit mark (260 celsius). Also, since the tip of the flame burns white and has the capacity to heat glass rods sufficient to bend them, the max heat would (I think!) be in the region of 1100 celsius.
