Is racing safe

Under controlled conditions, such as on a race track or regulated course, Auto Racing relatively safe. Drivers must be qualified before taking their machines onto the track(s), thus showing their skills. Most auto racers have special licenses.

Street racing in and through regular traffic is NOT safe, and in the U.S. is illegal.
