Why did Jackie Robinson decide to play baseball?

He wanted to prove to people that black people can play Baseball or wahtever sport they want and it doesnt matter if your colored or not . If your good and show you are good then you will play your heart out !

He got interested just like any other kid. He wasn't trying to prove anything. He started playing as a kid and loved the game. He was very talented and that talent got him into the majors. So the answer is he got interested because he just loved to play baseball. It is not complicated.
