Who made the AQL?

The Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) concept was developed by the U.S. military during World War II as a way to establish acceptable quality standards for military supplies. It was later adopted by various industries for quality control processes. AQL provides a statistical measure that defines the maximum number of defective items considered acceptable in a sample batch.
