A window winder is also called a window crank. These cranks are used on manual Windows. Power Windows use a power switch to run the window. Usually these cranks are held in place by a screw hidden behind a cap where the crank rotates, or there is a hidden clip behind where it rotates. If there is a hidden clip you will need a special tool that most mechanics will have if they are nice enough they will let you borrow it for a few minutes. Or a local parts store would sell this tool. Be careful when you use the tool those clips will fly across the parking lot and you will loose it. Try to push it behind the rotating crank slowly and cover it with your hands as you do this. It will help prevent you from losing the clip good luck.
