Why want your 2001 town in country take freon when someone make and attempt to put it in because it no longer cool?

It could just be a matter of time to put enough in to start the compressor running. If your compressor is not coming on the two sides have equalized and now the low side line is higher in pressure and the pressure from the can is having to fight the pressure on the line. It could take 30 to 45 minutes to get enough refrigerant in to start the compressor running. Once the compressor is running it will then start taking the refrigerant in faster.
