Why doesnt your mom ever let you hang out with friends?

the reason my mom barely let me hang out with my friends was that she was too scared to watch her little boy turn into a teenager, she also wanted to protect me from the world which she considered a dark place, and at the age I as at she knew I was most vulnerable and susceptible to it all.

The long and short of it is, I'm pretty sure she's just trying to protect you, how real the need for never letting you hang out is though I don't know!

she needs to let you find your own feet and learn from mistakes that you're not going to make if she just keeps you in the house all the time.
