When was the last time the wage was raised in the US?

As of my last update in October 2023, the federal minimum wage in the United States has not been raised since July 24, 2009, when it was increased to $7.25 per hour. While some states and localities have implemented higher minimum wages, there has been ongoing debate about increasing the federal minimum wage.
