What mosquito sting in the day?

some mosquitoes bite when they're hungry, no matter the time of day.

In the Mediterranean area the common mosquitoes tend to wait until dark, but in recent years there has been an invasion of "Asian tiger mosquitoes" (AKA "forest day mosquito") which bite at any time of day, making it much more difficult to enjoy time outdoors in summer :-(
