Not speaking for California, but in Alaska we have built in wages. State law requires a private ambulance service to pay 8 hours regular and 16 of overtime for 24 hour shifts. I work the same schedule. Woking 9 or 10 days a month is great, isn't it? Plus, you usually are able to sleep and play for a majority of it.
