What is the lowest viable human population for an isolated area without close inbreeding?

The Pitcairn Islands south-east of New Zealand has a mere population of 48 ====== I'm more interested in how many there were to start with. At this stage, I'm looking at a population isolated for around 200 years, although if anyone has suggestions for longer time periods, I could change it.
