His explanation was that singing on stage was never his "sweet spot." He would much rather lead worship. There is absolutely no bad blood between him and Bill Gaither, or Guy Penrod, or Wes Hampton, or any other Vocal Band member. He recently announced that he has accepted a worship leader position at a church in Arizona.
