What is an obituary notice?

An obituary is a formal announcement of death, with details regarding family, achievements, and so forth. A funeral notice is a brief published notation of the fact of the death, and simple information such as the name of the mortuary.

We assume that an "obituary notice" would combine the two, or perhaps be used to refer to a funeral notice.
