What is the difference between taxis and tropism?

Tropism: is the growth response of a plant that results from certain stimuli. Tropism can be positive, in which case the plant will bend toward the stimulus, or negative, in which case the plant will bend away from stimulus.

Taxis: Taxis in animals is the responsive movement of going toward or away from an external stimulus.
