Approximately how much will it cost to have a right side CV axle replaced on a 1997 Malibu and how serious a problem is it?

On my CV axles in my 99 Malibu they run at 130 a pop, and they can definitely be a serious problem, all the way to the point they can break or crack and cause you thousands of dollars worth of damage
