Who put the mishnah together?

The Mishnah was compiled by Rabbi Judah the Prince, also known as Rabbi Yehudah HaNasi, around the late 2nd century CE. He organized and codified oral Jewish law, which had been transmitted through generations, into a structured text. This effort aimed to preserve Jewish teachings and legal traditions amid changing circumstances and challenges faced by the Jewish community. Rabbi Judah's work laid the foundation for subsequent Talmudic discussions and interpretations.
