Why didn't the Chinese or Inca become masters of the globe instead?

The Inca Empire was geographically isolated in the Andes and lacked maritime capabilities for expansive exploration. Meanwhile, China experienced periods of introspection and isolation, notably during the Ming Dynasty, which curtailed overseas exploration. Additionally, both societies faced internal challenges and external pressures that diverted their focus from global expansion compared to European powers that embraced exploration and colonization.
