Do transmissions tick

The control systems on modern cars can cause a ticking noise from the transmission.

Chrysler product built from about 1999 to 2009 very often make a "Grick" noise when put into drive from park. This noise is the control system making a very fast clicking noise. It also means the sound deadening pad is loose or damaged.
