Can you get an air force achievement medal if you have a non rec?

Most likely you will not be eligible for an Achievement medal if you've received a non-recommendation letter. However, there are exceptions to this and depending on your specific situation you may be eligible if your supervisor sends a 'push note' through your chain-of-command attempting to waive the non-rec.
