Why wont the Brake lights on jaguar x type shut off?

I had this problem and it takes ten seconds to fix! There is a sensor that clips in above the brake fixture that got knocked loose by a larger foot. It just snaps back into place. Get a flashlight, lean in under the dash and you will see it hanging
