Why does Israel play football in Europe?

Israel does not take part in the European games, it is in Asia and therefore not elligible to compete in Europe

Israel however has been a part of Europe for the purposes of some continental sporting championships. For example football where Israel have played in European qualifying groups in major champs.

Israel plays soccer in the European league because the Asian and African leagues choose not to compete with them because they believe Israel to be a stolen state.
