When you turn on the ignition on your peugeot 206 the stop light flashes twice then goes off Is this normal?

I see it too on 206, It alerts you that your hand break is pulled up so you wont start driving with it, try placing the car only on "P" (parking mode at the gear) without the hand break pulled up I mean leave it down, then see if the car still flash's the stop light like you described on fresh ignition (might happen only the next day).
