Where does the mesosphere occur in earths atmosphere?

The mesosphere is the third layer of Earth's atmosphere, located above the stratosphere and below the thermosphere. It extends from about 31 miles (50 kilometers) to 53 miles (85 kilometers) above the Earth's surface.
