What do coati's eat?

In the wild coatis are primarily insectivores but also eat a considerable amount of fruits and vegetables when they are in season. Since coatis are opportunistic feeders they will also eat small rodents lizards snakes and frogs.In captivity coatis are usually fed meet and dog food or omnivore zoo feed suplimented with plenty of eggs and fresh fruit (figs, bannanas,mangoes). Crickets are also a favorite and are extremely healthy. My coati will eat 50-150 large crickets at a time.
