Should the government lower taxes

Certain taxes are often much higher than would be considered fair by many people, and could of course be lowered without any major loss to those affected. Having some taxes lowered also means more expenditure, and much of the money "lost" by the lowering is caught later on anyway.

Others could remain at the level they currently have, as to do otherwise would require a masssive alteration to the tax and financial budgeting systems and would have very little real gain for anyone.
