How old does a person have to be to shoot a gun alone?

It depends on where you are going to shoot. To shoot at a gun range I think the minimum age is set by individual states, but can be increased by rules set by the range.

Normally, if you are shooting on property where it's legal for an adult to shoot and you have permission, as far as I know there's no restriction.
