You have nothing to lose by asking her out. Ask her to a movie, and if she doesn't want to go then you know for sure she's not interested in you. If she does go, then it was a case where she was tired of waiting for you to ask her out. Friends should be open and honest so talk to her either alone at school or phone her. She could be having personal problems and it has nothing to do with you. Still, friends should feel that they can talk things out at any time.
Good luck!
AnswerTry talking to her.. but don't be too pushy. Just say hi and watch her reaction closely.ANSWER:
I was just recently in this exact predicament. The girl who was I was friends with is now my girlfriend, so I think I might be able to help you out. I don't really have any straight advice, so I will tell you my story and hope you get something from it. So it started out about 2 years ago, we were like, the best of friends, we talked about pretty much everything. I liked her, but I was unsure if she liked me or not. And just this past summer, we went to a summer camp together. We spent A LOT of time together there, just hanging out and talking (though not until about the third day because I didn't really know her friends that well). But after the week at the camp, we didn't see each other very much (we don't live in the same town). We saw each other about once a week at church, we still talked, but just not as much. Now, just to make it clear, she knows that I liked her. After school started, we kind of stopped talking for a while. Then I invited her to a dance at my school. She said yes, so that kind of lifted my spirits. After the dance was over, I asked her if she liked me, she said no, I was crushed. Yet I still pressed on, not physically on her, but on my attempts of getting her affection. By this time, we were not talking at all what-so-ever. Then I friended her on face book (of all places! lol). We started sending each other e-mails, talking about this and that. Then our connection started to show in public. Apparently we were talking to each other more than we had in the past. And now here we are, the perfect couple, we don't even disagree on anything (though that might be thanks to my passiveness lol). So I guess what this story of my experience says is, "Everything is precious, don't rush into things, let things come to you." That's what happened to me, I didn't ask her out on a date, I just asked if she liked me, then over time, her answer went from yes to no. All I can say now is, Good Luck, I hope you can do something similar, try to get her talking to you again, that might be all she needs. And after you guys are great friends again, try inviting her to the movies or some thing and do what I did, find out if she likes you, and if she does, GO FOR IT!! totally. If not, it's not the end of the world, don't neccessarilly give up, but don't stay glued to her, try to out some more, not literally, just like, talk to other girls, see if there is any one else that you might like.
