How many days does Earth rotate on it's axis?

One rotation per 24 day brings the Sun back to the same place in the sky. But because the Earth also orbits the Sun, it has to rotate a little more than 1 revolution to bring the Sun back to the same place, so one rotation relative to the stars takes 4 minutes less.
