Vladimir Komarov, who was a Solviet Test pilot, cosmonaut and aerospace engineer died on the 24th April 1967 when the Soyuz 1 space capsule crashed back to Earth due to the spacecraft being poorly maintained and having serious design flaws. The impact of the crash turned his body molten.
