No. I think that there is a difference teens are completely different from kids, unless in the last stage of childhood (9yrs), puberty occurs. In most cases puberty at a young age would occur for girls.
Infant: 1month-1 yr
Toddler: 2yr-3yr
preschooler:4-5yrs
kid/child:5-9
Tween: 10-12 yrs
Teen:13-17
Adult:18-50
Senior-50-∞
so above looking at the chart age is a difference between teenagers and children,
but the reason I think teenagers cannot be considered a child is because teens are brought out to be seen as more mature. There fore, The answer is No.
