When did they discover the Ogopogo?

Resources claim that the Ogopogo has been sighted by European settlers as early as 1860, but Okonagan First Nations have known them for far longer.

P.S. Keep in mind it was never officially discovered, only sighted, which is why it is called a cryptid.
